Team-Building with Mobile Workshops

A Natural Way to Reconnect at Work and Beyond

This month, we are shining the spotlight on something that has been getting a lot of love lately: Mobile Workshops. These hands-on sessions bring calm, creativity, and connection right into your workplace or event space. No awkward icebreakers, no forced fun — just people creating something beautiful together, at their own pace.

Earlier this month, we joined the team at Tamarack for a bouquet-making workshop. Their office turned into a cozy floral studio filled with fresh blooms and natural textures. Everyone designed their own arrangement, but the real highlight was the shared experience. It was relaxed, meaningful, and left the whole team smiling.

Next up, we headed to Pandell for a kokedama workshop. This one was extra special because it included both in-person and remote participants. While the Calgary team joins us onsite, their U.S. colleagues followed along virtually with the same materials and live facilitation. It is a great reminder that creative, hands-on experiences can bring people together, even from different locations.

Why Teams Love These Workshops

After a session, we often hear:

"That was exactly what we needed."

"I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much."

"It felt good to slow down and do something with my hands."

These projects are simple and approachable, but they create a sense of focus and calm that is hard to find during a regular workday. People feel more connected, more relaxed, and more refreshed, even if they did not think they were the “creative type.”

Projects to Choose From

Every Mobile Workshop gives your team the chance to make something unique they can take with them. Some of our most loved options include:

  • Seasonal Arrangements: Bouquets, wreaths, or centerpieces using fresh, seasonal elements

  • Desk Terrariums: Self-contained green spaces that brighten up any workspace

  • Kokedama: Traditional Japanese moss-ball gardens that are tactile, sculptural, and soothing to create

  • Moss Box Art: Framed pieces using preserved moss and natural textures for an organic touch in the office

We handle everything: materials, setup, guidance, and cleanup, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

Whether you are planning a wellness initiative, a team-building day, or just a midweek breather, these workshops are a low-effort, high-impact way to give your team something meaningful. It is not just an activity — it is time well spent together.
