No experience is needed. We take care of the setup, materials, and instruction so your group can slow down, create, and enjoy the time together.

How the process works

    Let us know which workshop you’re interested in and your preferred date or dates. We’ll confirm availability and next steps.

  3. Customize your experience
    All workshops can be tailored to your group. This may include seasonal direction, colour palette, project size, or working within a specific budget. Inspiration images are always welcome.

  4. Confirm with a deposit
    A 25 percent non-refundable deposit secures your booking. Final guest numbers and remaining payment are due closer to the event.

From $70 per person | Difficulty: Easy

Each arrangement is created in a 10-inch pot, with larger sizes available upon request.

Hosting Your Workshop

Hosting in the Bloom Culture Studio

Our NW Calgary studio is located just off 16th Avenue in Bowness and is designed specifically for hands-on, creative gatherings.

What to expect

  • A bright, welcoming space prepared exclusively for your group

  • All tools, materials, and florals ready when you arrive

  • Guided, step-by-step instruction with time to socialize

  • Built-in time for photos, conversation, and enjoyment

  • A 10% discount on all in-studio purchases during your event

Good to know

  • Minimum of 6 guests, maximum of 24 guests

  • Most workshops run 1 to 2.5 hours, depending on the project

  • Guests may bring snacks or non-alcoholic drinks

  • Alcohol may be permitted with the appropriate AGLC Special Event Permit

Hosting at Your Location

We can bring the Bloom Culture workshop experience to your home, office, or chosen venue.

What to expect:

  • Early arrival for setup

  • Cleanup of workshop materials at the end

  • Adequate table space and seating are required

  • Access to water and standard power is helpful

Off-site workshops are popular for corporate offices, private homes, and larger group events.

  • Yes. We provide invoices and receipts, including documentation suitable for corporate or team reimbursement.

  • Yes. Guests are welcome to bring snacks and beverages. Light décor such as balloons or table accents is also welcome, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the workspace or materials.

    Alcohol is permitted in the studio with the appropriate AGLC Special Event Permit, which must be arranged in advance.

  • Yes. We regularly host corporate and team workshops both in-studio and off-site. For larger groups, additional planning time may be required. We recommend reaching out early so we can suggest the best format.

  • Yes. We offer mobile workshops and can bring the Bloom Culture experience to your home, office, or event space.

    Off-site workshops include a travel and setup fee, which is based on time and distance traveled, as well as any additional preparation required for your event. All applicable fees are confirmed at the time of booking.

  • Final guest numbers are confirmed prior to the event. Because flowers, plants, and materials are ordered in advance and cannot be returned, we’re unable to reduce the guest count or offer refunds for individual cancellations once numbers are confirmed.

    If plans change, another guest is welcome to attend in someone’s place. Alternatively, you’re welcome to take home the instructor’s finished sample project to gift to someone else.

  • Additional guests may be added if space and materials allow. Please contact us as soon as possible so we can confirm availability and pricing.

  • Private workshops offer a more relaxed, personalized experience designed just for your group.

    With a private workshop, you’ll enjoy:

    Private workshops are ideal for gatherings where connection, flexibility, and atmosphere matter as much as the creative project itself.

  • No. All workshops are beginner-friendly and guided step by step. No prior floral or plant experience is needed.

  • Most workshops run 1 to 1.5 hours. More detailed projects, such as wreaths or outdoor containers, may run closer to 2 to 2.5 hours. Timing is confirmed based on the project selected.

  • Yes. All workshops are customizable. This may include seasonal direction, colour palette, project size, holiday themes, or working within a specific per-person budget. Inspiration images are always welcome.

  • Yes. Every workshop is designed so guests leave with a finished piece ready to take home.

  • In most cases, all guests work on the same project so we can guide the group smoothly and ensure everyone has a great experience.

    Mixed projects are only considered for larger groups where the format and space allow for two instructors. If this is something you’re interested in, please reach out early so we can assess feasibility based on group size, timing, and project selection.

  • Yes. We can set up a private workshop registration page where each guest registers and pays individually.

    The host will still confirm the workshop details and final guest count. Workshop dates are not held until the minimum number of paid registrations is reached. Because materials are ordered in advance, we’re unable to tentatively reserve dates without confirmed commitment.

    For workshops using individual registration, the 25 percent non-refundable deposit is fulfilled through guest registrations once the minimum threshold is met. This option must be arranged in advance.

  • Final payment timing depends on where your workshop is hosted.

    For in-studio workshops, full payment and final guest count are due 7 days before the scheduled date.

    For off-site workshops, full payment and final guest count are due 10 days before the event.

    For larger or commercial groups (12 or more guests), payment and a confirmed guest list are due 14 days in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Booking Policies

To ensure a smooth and well-prepared experience for every group, the following policies apply to all private workshops.

In-Studio Workshops

Group Size: Private in-studio workshops require a minimum of 6 participants and can accommodate up to 24 guests. Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days before the workshop.

Booking & Payment: A 25 percent non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment and final guest count are due 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop date. Payments may be made by e-transfer or credit card.

Cancellations & Rescheduling: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the workshop may be rescheduled once, subject to availability. Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice will forfeit the deposit. No refunds are issued for no-shows.

Late Arrivals: Workshops begin promptly at the scheduled time. We recommend guests arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to settle in. Late arrivals may miss key instructions, and sessions cannot be extended beyond the scheduled end time.

Food & Beverages: Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol may be served with the appropriate AGLC Special Event Permit, which must be arranged in advance.

Accessibility: Our studio is fully accessible. Please let us know of any accessibility needs when booking so we can prepare accordingly.

Off-Site Workshops (Mobile)

Group Size: Off-site workshops require a minimum of 8 participants. For groups over 20 guests, additional planning time may be required. We recommend contacting us early to confirm availability.

Booking & Payment: A 25 percent non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment and final guest count are due 10 days before the event.
For larger or commercial groups (12 or more guests), payment and a confirmed guest list are due 14 days in advance. We accept e-transfer and credit card payments.

On-Site Contact: An on-site contact is required for all off-site workshops. This person must be available to meet our team on arrival and remain reachable throughout setup and the event.

Arrival & Setup: Our team will arrive 30 to 60 minutes before the scheduled start time, depending on the size and format of the workshop. Travel and setup time are included in your event fee.

Travel & Setup Fees: Off-site workshops include a travel and setup fee, which is calculated based on time and distance traveled, as well as any additional preparation or logistical requirements specific to your event. This fee covers transportation, loading and unloading, setup, and teardown. All applicable travel and setup fees will be confirmed at the time of booking and included in your final pricing.

Venue Requirements: The event space must be clean, well-lit, and have adequate table space and seating for all participants. Access to water and nearby parking is required. Please notify us in advance of any delivery, loading, or access requirements at the venue.

Late Arrivals: Workshops begin promptly at the scheduled time. Late arrivals may miss key instructions, and we are unable to extend the session beyond the agreed end time.

Cancellations & Rescheduling: The 25 percent deposit is non-refundable. Bookings may be rescheduled once, free of charge, if at least 10 days’ notice is provided for groups under 12, or 14 days’ notice for groups of 12 or more, and the new date is available. Cancellations made with less than the required notice will forfeit the deposit.
No refunds are issued for no-shows.

What’s Included: All materials, tools, instruction, setup, and cleanup are included in your event fee unless otherwise stated.
