Service Spotlight: Mobile Workshops
A Natural Way to Reconnect at Your Business and Beyond
This month, we’re putting the spotlight on something that’s been getting a lot of love lately: Mobile Workshops. These sessions bring a calm, creative experience right into your workplace or event space. There are no awkward icebreakers or forced group activities, just people creating something beautiful together, at their own pace.
Earlier this month, we joined the team at Tamarack for a bouquet-making workshop. Their office was transformed into a cozy floral studio filled with fresh blooms, natural textures, and an easygoing energy. Everyone designed their own arrangement, but the real highlight was the shared experience. It was relaxed, thoughtful, and left the whole team smiling.
Coming up this Wednesday, we’re heading to Pandell for a kokedama workshop. What makes this one special is that it includes both in-person and remote participants. While the Calgary team joins us onsite, their U.S. colleagues will follow along virtually with the same materials and live facilitation. It’s a great reminder that hands-on, creative experiences can still bring people together, even from different locations.
Why Teams Enjoy These Workshops
After a session, we often hear comments like:
"That was exactly what we needed."
"I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much."
"It felt good to slow down and do something with my hands."
The projects are simple and approachable, but they create a sense of focus and calm that’s hard to find during a regular workday. People feel more connected, more relaxed, and more refreshed, even if they didn’t think they were the “creative type.”
A Variety of Projects to Choose From
Each workshop gives participants a chance to make something unique they can take with them. Options include:
Seasonal Arrangements: Bouquets, wreaths, or centerpieces with fresh, seasonal elements
Desk Terrariums: Self-contained green spaces that are easy to care for and brighten up any workspace
Kokedama: A traditional Japanese moss-ball garden that’s tactile, sculptural, and surprisingly soothing to create
Moss Box Art: Framed pieces using preserved moss and natural textures, perfect for adding a calming, organic touch to a space
We bring all the materials, set everything up, lead the session, and handle cleanup.
Thinking About Hosting One?
Whether it’s part of a wellness initiative, a team-building event, or just a midweek breather, these workshops offer a low-effort, high-impact way to give your team something meaningful. It’s not just an activity, it’s time well spent, together.
